i cant seem to get multi upload to do anything??? anymore suggestions? send me your email address the file is only a few KB 3 or 4?

Newbie guide to programming droid bionic with 3g data on pageplus



1.get a 4glte sim card.

2. factory data reset phone

3. Activate phone by using the first 15 characters of the imei (drop 1 character from the end)

4. Push pageplus prl to phone. (I do not know how to link download files to this forum yet)

I used cdma workshop 3.8 demo version

A.put phone in diagnostic mode power off, hold up and down buttons and power back on, select bp tools at the bottom by button down to it and button up to select bp tools

B. Connect phone to computer open up cdma workshop go to ports and select the one that says diag it should be the one at the bottom.

C. Click connect to connect phone

D. Go to main tab click spc send 000000 to unlock phone, go to other tab to load pageplus prl to phone, select write and find your prl file and it should write it to the phone.

5. Insert sim card.

6. Restart phone. Phone should OTA program.
7. dial *#*#4636#*#* go to phone information go to cdma auto prl and change it to cdma only

Back out of that

8. dial ##program go to test mode next over to evrc hdr hybrid mode change network type to cdma and back out phone will restart

(check menu/settings/phone status make sure mobile network type says CDMA 1xrtt and you have 1x data)

9. dial *#*#4636#*#* go to phone information go to cdma and change it to cdma auto prl

Back out of that

10. Power down and remove sim card and power up.

11. dial ##program go to test mode next over to evrc hdr hybrid mode change network type to cdma and evdo phone will restart

(check menu/settings/phone status make sure mobile network type says CDMA EvDo rev A. if it says eHRPD redo steps 10-14.)

12. dial *#*#4636#*#* go to phone information go to cdma auto prl and change it to unknown

Back out of that

13. Power down phone, replace sim card power up you should have 3g and talk and text

Anyone else able to get this to work? After the restart on step 6 I get no activation. I called verizon to make sure the chip was valid and associated w the device and called back PPC to make sure the imei was entered in their system correctly. (although step 3 was kind of confusing. I went with the first 14 and dropped off the last character.)

How do I get the ##program to take. I can get *#*#4636#*#* to take but when I try the other and hit call it says " Dial Failed only Emergency Calls can be dialed!"

i forgot to tell you you have to change the r-ium setting to nv only to get the prl to stick i will post more thorough steps

it is no problem to get the bionic on pageplus, cdma workshop demo will work just fine. you also need a 4glte sim card. factory data reset the phone and you need to install cdma workshop demo first. download a pageplus prl. you can find one at http://www.4shared.com/file/qryS5x4T/51720_EVDO.html
download motorola usb drivers from motorola website

and install them.
power off your computer.
you power down your phone and put it in diagnostic mode by holding down both volume up and down buttons and pressing power on button at the top.
use the down button to toggle down to bp tools at the bottom and press the volume up button to select it. your phone will power on in diagnostic mode.
connect your phone via a usb cable to your computer and power on your computer. after your computer is powered up wait for the computer to install the device drivers for your phone
open up device manager and find the modems and look for your phone (moto something or other or or xt875) and see which com port it is on by looking in the advanced tab or one of the other tabs. open up cdma workshop and select the com port your bionic is on and click on the connect button. click read to make sure your phone is connected and go to the security tab and SPC /User lock click send and send spc 000000 to your phone to unlock it so that you can write to it. go to the main tab and at the bottom you will see a drop down menu that says cdma click the drop down arrow and click on cdma-2. go to the r-uim configuration and click on nv only go to the bottom and click write click on the nam-1 and click nam-2 and click write again. now go to the cdma-2 tab and click cdma and go up to the tabs and click other go to the prl and click write and find the location you downloaded the prl file and select it and the program will write it to the phone. now you can power off the phone. activate the imei number by dropping off the last digit to make the number one less (14 instead of 15), power it up normally and the phone will program normally with the 4glte sim card installed. after activation, to get 1x data with mms go to the dial pad and *#*#4636#*#* go down to the turn off radio button and click it. it should now say turn on radio go to the gsm\cdma\prl auto drop down menu and select cdma only and then click turn on radio button back button out of there and you now have 1x data with talk, text and mms. painless

this is what i did. only i used cdma workshop demo. i got as far as trying to do the evdo part. the cdma demo would not finish the evdo part. when i powered on my phone, it activated with talk and text. after i *#*#4636#*#* and changed the radio to cdma only i got mms and 1x data

Thanks for the additional information.
I Think what might be the problem is writing the r-uim information. Once I try that step with the demo version of cdma I get:
Write EVDO page... Skipped (This function is available in registered version only)
Did you not have that issue with your demo version? I have 3.8.0
I proceed with the rest of the steps but after the reboot my phone never activates.
How long did it take to activate and are there any prompts letting you know that it is trying to negotiate an activation?
Also when I tried a factory reset to get back to square one, cdma still was reading the prl i flashed to it. Shouldnt a factory reset nuke that?

you have to make sure cdma workshop is set on cdma-2 (at the bottom of the screen) when you change the ruim to nv only and write to nam1 and nam 2 (this drop down menu is at the bottom also) then change cdma-2 back to cdma and click on the other tab to write the prl. the evdo part of cdma workshop demo will not work, nor is it necessary. make sure the cdma drop down menu is not on evdo. if you have written the prl to the phone correctly it will program automatically if you have an unused sim card installed. i used the demo version.

adam3rd@hotmail.com when you pull speedtest.com or the android app what speeds does it give you on 1x?
I fairly sure our problem has to do with correctly writing the evdo settings - which have to be done in cdma ws 3.7+ full verison. Sinewaves I think is right on how to get regular 3g.

Once you activate the first time the sim wont reactivate you may have to buy another card.
