The 2.3.6 update is successful change the network mode to cdma only in ##program and change ruim to nv only first, then let the sim card do auto activation and proceed with the lte test mode modifications

MMS doesn't appear to be working even w Verizon messaging installed. Are you guys able to get it to work? If so any suggestions?

I just received a message on xdadevelopers that mms was working without a hitch from rayj3. I am getting connection error messages (even though it connects anyway) with the stock browser and no errors on downloaded browsers. Let us post our settings and compare to find out if we are over or under adjusting the settings.( i have already posted mine.)

Adam,
A BIG thank you for your continued advice and help in this thread! I finally got everything working. I wanted to throw out some tidbits that I experienced in case anyone has the same issue(s).
I was a few versions back and thats why I seemed to be locked down more than you all. I could never do anything except make emergency calls and get to the settings page via *#*#4636#*#*
Once i followed your upgrade procedure I was able to get past that annoyance.
Even after following your instructions I could never get the phone to activate. The one thing that finally did it was toggling DNS to allowed. This combined w cdma only allowed me to activate. Butno activation occured w just CDMA only set.
Everything seems great the only issue I have left is keeping the CDMA auto prl setting. Once I reboot the phone I have to reset that back. Any Ideas on how to get it to stick. No biggy if thats a caveat I have to live w but since this is for the wife the less she has to fiddle w the better.

I can't activate it. It will pop-up the activation interface, saying "The number or code you are dialing is incorrect', then it came to A special call needs to be made to activate.

By the way, once you guys flash prl, should this prl also showing in the cellphone? Mine still shows unknown

However it can be read from CW demo.

(you need the simcard to activate) first change the radio *#*#4636#*#* to cdma only then
you have to unlock the phone in qpst or cdma workshop first and then change ruim to nv only then click write
after you do this you can write a prl to the phone.
after you have done this, the phone will auto activate.(in *#*#4636#*#* dravul changed dns toggle allowed)

The MIN number from CW demo is 000000xxxx
x is some digits

I thought it would be something like regular phone number.

I am not sure if this is the issue of not activating it.

before you make any type of modifications to the phone you need to
1.insert the sim card
2. change the radio network mode to cdma only
3. change ruim to nv-only and write to phone (using qpst or cdma workshop)
4. reboot
the phone will auto activate

if you have made any of the other adjustments before the phone activates it will not auto ota (over the air) program

you will need to set all the menu settings back or factory data reset and start from the beginning.

most people who have problems are skipping ahead and making adjustments before the handset has been activated. the activation is really simple.
insert sim, change the radio network mode to cdma only, change ruim to nv only, restart, wait for the activation screen
this should get you activated and 1x data
after activation to get 3g data you proceed with the other steps

What type of phone.
What settings have you modified.
What firmware version are you on.
