Insert Recheck UIM, can anyone help?

hi all,

i recently bought an SH 01b(2nd hand) and bought a BB Sim hypersim(anti-cpr) to use with my Celcom Simcard..apparently when i inserted it in with the simcard and switched on the phone..all i get is this message on the screen..Insert / Recheck UIM..what does this mean? i checked and rechecked and have inserted it carefully into the sim slot..but it still comes out with the message saying that..i checked the hypersim and could not find anything faulty or bent and scratched..is it my sim card perhaps or what kind of hypersim is best to be used with this phone and my carrier..any help , advice is much appreciated..

this is my first time using a keitai with hypersim.

Does your SIM work in another phone? If so, then you might need a new HyperSIM.

yes my sim card works in my other phones..if i need to replace it..what would be a suitable hypersim..my carrier is celcom from malaysia..

Not sure if Celcom is even compatible. I've actually never heard of anyone using dcm phones on Celcom. Maxis would be the more common one.

there are quite a few who are using celcom for this model..but i have yet to get any replies regarding what kind of hypersim they are using from the forum over where i am..perhaps i should buy a maxis prepaid card and try..i'm just worried whether it's the phone's sim slot that is the problem or something like that..

i went and bought a Maxis prepaid simcard..still same results..i'm guessing by now a new hypersim may rectify this problem im having perhaps?

did you check on lowyat to see what others are using on maxis?

i did ask someone who posted after me what type of hypersim he was using on lowyat..he said he was using an i-smartphone black new slim type hypersim..but it only works with a 64k Digi simcard after countless tries for him..
but when he put it into his Softbank 706p..works fine with all networks..so far he's the only one..other than him..no one has replied yet..i keep googling but still haven't found a solution..
