It's been hit and miss...more miss than hit. I don't know what the problem is, but it must have to do with HoFo because it's the same with on all my PCs, at home and at the office.
Most of the time, when I click Edit, I don't get the white box, I get the smaller grey box, completely blank, without my original message, and I can't even add text to me. The only thing I can do is click refresh or the back button on the browser. Weird, and annoying.
So....I have a question. Because this is more confusing than anything. If I got a contract on december and I call change my plan and rrnew my contract......will I still be liable for the 500$(ecf+the data fee) plus the 12.5 or fall under the new policy and since I didnt get a hup dont have to pay suvsity?

You are not supposed to be able to renew within 24 months of a 36 month term without getting new hardware. It depends if the option to renew your term is still available doing price plans changes or not.
Last time I called to change the plan they advised me to renew my term. Which I said no to so im guessing if I call and change like the vp or something they might ask me again?
Here's the part that confuses me. Let's say I did an upgrade in September 2011. Then in January (somehow) I got my contract renewed. Wouldn't you still have to pay off your subsidy from September? Or would the subsidy just become...void or something? If the latter, I am surprised people are getting term renewals. I bet this will eventually wreak even further havoc on an already dying retentions climate.
I'm wondering how the DSRF and ADSRF are determined for the plans under Rogers' "Red Hot Deals". Those are in almost all cases 1-year terms. The devices are end-of-life or discontinued devices, so what would be the no-contract price used to determine DSRF and/or ADSRF?
So, to summarize and attempt to restart this derailed discussion:
Putting aside all the flamewars about not screwing poor helpless Rogers (like they will let you get away with that!)...
Although it sure seems anecdotally that Rogers is willing able and eager to reset your contract period when a mouse roaming Rogers HQ farts, officially you cannot renew/reset your contract term without 24 months of a 36-month contract passing AND taking a HUP? And without those conditions being met, there is no way to get the new cancellation policy (for BC) - remaining phone subsidy+whatever - for contracts begun prior to Jan 22?
Has ANYONE actually managed to reset/restart their contract period, through plan changes or otherwise, and then subsequently got the new cancellation terms (i.e. basically remaining phone subsidy costs)?
(My own sob story? I got bullied in to taking over 'my' corporate iPhone plan when the company I was working for had to wind down and lay everyone off due to financial difficulties. My fault for caving in, but I want out now. I think I have about 16 months left on the contract.)

My impression is you can renew without taking a hup after 24 months of a 36-month contract. So in your case, you have 4 months to go before you can do that.
Renewed my contract 2 days ago. I was only 2 months into a 36month when I renewed, than a rogers rep called me back the next day stated that he was a manager and that he would give me my old plan back.
He stated he would drop the bill $20/month and give me My5 for free.
So I took it, maybe it was because the rep didnt force me to do a hup or something.
