I just added the 1200 min/3000 text plan to my account. I already have the Power Text 2000 on the same account. I have no use for Power Text now and would like to remove it. Is there a way to do that?
Also, when I added the PIN for my new plan to the account via #737 Mr. Robot told me that I had "successfully added $29.95 to your account." And then followed it up with, "Your account balance is now 65 cents." Which was the balance it was at before I added the new PIN. Any ideas?
I'm not sure about how to exactly remove the power text plan, you might have to call PP or it might have been automatically removed when you added the TnT plan. The other thing is simple, when you added the pin for the TnT plan it just added 29.95 to your account and then deducted the same amount for the cost of the plan. I know it's weird, but it's just how the system works. I hope this helps.

Here is what I've read previously about PPC monthly plan changes:
When you add a higher monthly plan PIN, it goes into effect immediately, and replaces any lower monthly plan currently in effect. If you were to later add a lower monthly plan PIN, the lower monthly plan would go into effect upon expiration of the higher monthly plan.

That's correct, and a good summary. In fact, the Page Plus "Switching Plans" website page is being revised today or tomorrow to reflect this simplified explanation, rather than all the current plan-to-plan explanations, videos, etc. Plan upgrade happens immediately, switch to a lower plan happens on renewal date.

Thanks for the replies, I guess I'll just wait for Power Text to go away on its on.
Follow up question, is there any significance to the date I choose for automatic renewal of the TnT plan? For instance if my plan expires the 25th is there an optimal date I should choose for the automatic renewal?
Just letting you know that the Switching Plans page of the Page Plus website has now been revised to reflect the simplified "hierarchy" of what happens when you switch to a "higher" vs. a "lower" plan.

Well that certainly simplifies it! Maybe a definition of "higher plan" should be included in there somewhere. Even though one would assume that higher plan means more expensive plan..........a hierarchy chart of sorts?
Also, "To get the most value of your current plan, it is suggested to wait until the renewal date of your current plan before upgrading." Is this always the case? I'm not sure that statement is accurate in all situations. If I'm out of talk minutes on my current plan with 20 days left until the renewal date, is it really best to wait? It just seems like a very broad statement to make.......isn't it possible to have sucked all the value out of a plan long before the renewal date?
It seems that the "Standard Plan" confusion could still be there with this new explanation of switching plans. Adding a Standard Plan cash PIN when on one of the other plans will not automatically switch the account to the Standard Plan on the renewal date, correct? It will revert to the Standard Plan within a few days after the renewal date usually (if not enough funds are available to renew the current plan).......so there will be those few days of getting charged overage rates. So, adding a Standard Plan PIN will not switch the account to the Standard Plan on the actual renewal date, just as it has been in the past, correct? I'm not sure that is entirely clear with the new explanation.
Example: I'm on The 12 Plan and want to change to just the Standard Plan on my renewal date. So, after reading the new explanation I add a $80 Standard Plan PIN thinking I am downgrading my plan so it will take effect on the renewal date......when all it is really doing is adding cash to my account and allowing The 12 Plan renew.
Or am I just missing the part where it explains that you can only downgrade to The Standard Plan by calling CS or waiting a few days after renewal for it to revert (only if there is not enough cash to renew the old plan)?

I recently tested the "don't mention a PP Dealer by name" rule here on PP Hofo......trust me, it is still in effect - got me a 7 day ban.
