Selling prepaid account - can it be done

I'd like to sell my prepaid account balance and phone. Can it be done legitimately i.e. transfer of ownership preferably with new phone #? Is there a way I can also take my existing phone # to a new provider? I'd like to keep it if possible.

You can transfer the phone to some one else but your number will stay with the account

Yes, this can be done, but for what it's worth it's not worth the time. You can either hop by a virgin kiosk with you with ID, and the person transferring ID, and transfer the name to them. Or call care and do the same thing. Once that change has taken effect, you can do a number swap. (No charge)

Or, if you go from Virgin Prepaid to Virgin Postpaid, your remaining credits will come to you in the form of a bill credit.
