I expect their 4g Lte to improve in speed and coverage in the future but for now im happy i dont need 20 mb of mobile data speed on my mobile device to be happy
Why would you expect improvement? More people will be getting onto it. It can only get slower from here.

You obviously don't know much. Metro doesnt have alot of spectrum right now so thats why their cap is at 8 mb. When they get more spectrum their speeds will increase.

Thank you! yes like ace said metro is moving on forward maybe not as fast as we wish they could go but yes they are improving, seems ur not happy with metro pcs thats unfortunate but for me and others on this forum we havnt had 1 single prob yet. Each state is different and cities as well. i was last sunday in lutz florida and trust me my Lg esteem had no signal at all it had a red line going through the bars so i cant say florida is completly covered by metro, but where i live in the bay area ive never had a dropped call my 4g is more than enough so like i said im happy!
Getting 500kbps, using speedtest app, on my galaxy indulge. Kind of gay to be honest. While it's fast enough that I can reasonably stream music and watch youtube videos, it's a pretty big turn off to be sitting at less than 1m.

and is the "4G" icon showing or is that with the "3G" icon showing?
Your creed may be interesting, but your deeds are much more convincing.

lol and can either of you two clowns point to any hard releases that show when they're getting more spectrum? Anything besides rumors?

The spectrum question
With wireless carriers, the question of future success will always come down to how much spectrum it has (the answer is always "never enough") and how much spectrum it can get its hands on. Unfortunately for MetroPCS, recent events have taken a good bit of available spectrum off the table.
A company to watch
I have a good feeling about MetroPCS. It knows its customer base and what it needs to do to keep those customers coming back. It also seems to be building its network and gathering its resources in a truly thought-out manner. However, much is riding on MetroPCS's ability to get those inexpensive LTE phones in its stores by the beginning of 2012's third quarter. This is a company to watch.
I live in Atlanta and back in October I was consistently getting 2 mbps - 4+ mbps in speed tests. Since the new year I'm getting more 1 mbps - 3 mbps. I've only gotten one "4" since January.
Your obvious trolling aside, when I buy a product I expect the product to deliver what it claims to deliver. When MetroPCS says "4g" it should be offering 20mbit down, not 500k-1.3 mbit in my area.
HOWEVER, this is one of those cases where 20mbit IS too much. So no, given that it's MetroPCS I don't expect true 4g speeds.
As for living on the internet, I'm not even sure what that means. But I'd like my navigator to quickly route my directions without "loading" too long. When I need some information on google, I'd like that to come up fairly quickly. When I stream radio music through my car's BT at 126k, I expect the sound to come through without having to buffer every x seconds.
Nowhere in there do I actually use my phone to browse the internet (Which is what I think you're trying to say by living on the internet). It's a cell phone, after all.
4G doesn't mean anything about speed, only the equipment/network. Look at DSL, some people only get .5mbps, others can get 40mbps or more. It is still DSL..
Yess it is about speeds. Techincally nobody has 4G speeds yet. True 4G speeds according to the FCC are 100MB which no carrier has gotten yet. So idk what people are saying
about "true" 4G speeds because nobody has true 4G yet. When somebody hits 100 MB then you can say they have true 4G

Yeah, but by that token you should be able to get dialup that's as fast as cable. Obviously that's not the case, speed is a component of determining what a service is called, though it is typically skewed by marketing.
And even if no carrier in the USA has true 4G, there's nothing wrong with calling true 4G... well, true. Lol, since company's market 4G in the USA but don't exactly give you real 4G, it's more accurate to say "true 4g" when referring to speeds in excess of 100mbit (or whatever other standard) to differentiate with the standard 4g marketed in the USA. That no company actually offers this speed in the USA is irrelevant and bears no emphasis on whether or not you can/'t say "true 4G"
But we digress. I don't want 100mbit, I don't want 10. I want to have at least 1.5m since I'm paying for such a service. Getting 500kbps (all things considered) is unacceptable.
