    POLO_011,

Unfortunately, people like us who are being realistic would often be labelled as "Nokia haters" and/or "Windows Phone bashers"! Well, it is a WP-centric section in HoFo and I can understand the context. But I do not know how clueless some of us are e.g. "Crappy Android for the fragmented mass", "Ignorant iOS users", "Nokia is back", "Microsoft will dominate the mobile world by 2013"... perhaps the social spin Koolaid is so refreshing these days That is fine if others want to continue with their own preferences.

For the record, I have tried, used, tested, reviewed, hacked, modified, repaired, worked, played, collected many handsets in many platforms. Some have been gone and some have become like deadOS walking. I find both goodies and weakness among all. My point is that nobody can tell what the mobile realm will look like in 5 years. It keeps changing. But what really matter are the present situation with all the current ecosystems, how they are in sync with the pace in the evolution and will still be relevant in the future. Based on what Microsoft and Nokia have brought to the table thus far, I am not very optimistic.

I would sure hate to be one of those poor people who bought the phone... only to find out it has windows OS on it.

I'm surprised they even sold that many.

Microsoft's biggest hurdle in North America and Europe is ignorance like the above...you must work at a cell phone store (in other words, never used the phones you sell and only sell what you get max commission on...)…
