In the beginning of December I activated a smartphone on PagePLus. I burned through about $4 of standard time ($2 free on account and $2 of a $10 card) in a few days playing with the phone. Then once I had the main stuff working, I applied a 1200 Talk and Text monthly subscription. So after a month and a half I am not going over on any data usage at all yet. So I have a $8 balance left from the $10 card sitting there. Can I just apply a $25 card instead of another $29.95 1200 Talk and Text monthly renewal (and use part of the first card's balance up before the beginning of April)? I don't mind loosing a bit of the standard card, but don't want to apply another $29.95 card and a $10 card too to keep the funds alive on the first card after 4 months.
It might be a good idea to have a remaining balance of $10 after the TnT1200 plan has been paid for. Today PPC has LOWERED their data overage rate to $0.10 a MB so if you ever go past the allowed 100mb a month, you're covered :-) And the balance is good for 4 months keeping your phone active should you miss a payment!
$0.10 per MB and $10 = an extra 100mb to be used "just in case" :-)
OK, so if I know the balance will not expire and carry over past April then I may keep it on reserve, but Keyz is saying the balance is good for 4 months (which is what the texts state too for expiration) and Boz you are saying as long as I continue to do a 1200 TnT plan that the balance will carry over past April. After reading this- I checked my balance text messages from last month and this month and in fact the $8 balance is now showing May expiration and not April. So it will carry as long as I apply funds of some type.
Yes-- as you found out, once you're on a monthly plan, any amount of account balance remains (unless used) for the duration of that plan's usage. Standard Plan rules do not apply to it.

This is correct, except that the data overage cost did not change. It has ALWAYS been $0.10/MB overage on TnT1200.
