Is there a non-smart phone, QWERTY, that works? Anything?

Wife & I both tried the evergreen, for the last 2-3 mos, nothing but random shut-offs, resets, etc. After badgering AT&T for a while,, they finally want to replace the phones, but with what?

Looking for:

No data plan

Qwerty keyboard

Customer reviews that don't have "freezing" and "software bugs" in the reviews!!!

Please, someone tell us AT&T has a non-smartphone that actually works?

Look for Quick Messaging Devices on the AT&T Mobility website. Some have physical keyboards and some have virtual keyboards. Some have both.

Yeah, I looked at the website, many, many, many, times. Almost all of the non-smart phones have customer reviews that state, "freezes" and "software problems"

My wife is thinking of getting a smartphone, the LG Phoenix, I believe, that might solve the problem for her, but I still have to find a non-smart phone. No way I'm paying for TWO data plans, at least she will use her phone for work, at least a bit, while I have no need for a data plan at all.

You are correct, there isn't a good AT&T option that I've found. My wife has been through 3 LG Xeon phones. I gave her my old Nokia E71 which is not recognized as a smart phone by AT&T. IMO, you should look around for an unlocked E71.
