What are you talking about?
no one talking about bills and money.
i am paying more for features and i am asking them to keep charging for it but disable it
if you conclude this as not paying bill , i can not say anything anymore.
it seems you are not synchronized with us here.
Sorry no offense but i am talking about something and then you come in about bills and money.
i need the value pack that fido offer include voicemail, so i am buying the whole bundle but i want to deactivate voicemail, ( WILL FIDO FORCE PEOPLE TO HAVE ACTIVATED VOICEMAIL )
i asked them to disable my voicemail as i do not need it, and i did not asked them to change price. i am still paying more for less here ? who is talking about paying less?????
if Fido is Offering a bundle, the customer has the right to choose when to enable and disable a feature he is paying for it. not Fido should control him how to use the features, thats why they are called feature.
if you go International And do some google Search, 99% of GSM operators allow there customers to enable and disable voicemail on there will, and do conditional call forwarding.
i am paying for a feature i should be in control of that feature.
like paying for unlimited SMS i can use 1 sms / month or 1000 SMS, same thing for voicemail, i pay for voicemail but i want to control when to enable it and when to disable it.
But it looks like mech9t5 said Fido Switches are maybe bad decision taken by Fido engineer and does not allow customers to control when and where to forward there call voicemail is enabled,
Lets make story short its not a policy its a technical issue,
i emailed the executive office and they replied to me that it can be done by just deactivating the voicemail as long as i agree to pay for the whole bundle other wise they have to break it down and charge for each feature alone.
As far as I know, Fido offers Call Forwarding. I don't think they specify a type of forwarding.
However if you have Fido Voice Mail on your line then you can only use un-conditinol forwarding, if you can remove your voice mail or just not subscribe to it then all types of forwarding works.

that's correct, and that's what was done to fix my issue, but some people arround says its against the policy to get it disabled which i dough.
You can say we are wrong, that is fine but unless you have read the policy which would require you to an employee then you will never know. But it is true no matter how much YOU THINK it is not possible.

<-- if you had your way everything would be allowed including NOT paying peoples bills.

<--- If you don't want voicemail don't get the value pack. it includes voicemail for all users.

<-- No you do not have the right, you have the right NOT to take the value pack but you DO NOT have the right to pick and choose what is in that value pack, you get all the options or none of the options.

<-- good for them, canada we do it different, by all means you can use those "international" providers if you want

You can disable it, remove the value pack.

<-- It's policy
Multiple sources at fido Confirmed that voicemail can be disabled, but you.
To clarify for all of us here in the forum and other Fido CSR reading this thread. Can you please C/P thats is a policy to not allow people disable a feature in there Value pack? Voicemail is a feature i can choose when to put it on and when to turn it off,
Please to end this thread C/P that policy , to prevent problems in the future.
Thanks in advance,
this thread is only to clarify things, with FACTS, not what we think.

It is possible to disable the voicemail portion of the value pack (VM/CID/2500sms), but you have to stumble upon a rep that knows how to do it (most don't). Without voicemail on the line, conditional call forwarding becomes possible. I use CCF to forward all my calls to Google Voice and get visual voicemail and call transcription for free.

Fido had Conditional Call Forwarding for YEARS!!! Then they changed (long) after Rogers took over. Rogers didn't have Conditional Call Forwarding. Customer Service at Fido received a lot of calls regarding confusion in setting up Call Forwarding, even reps are confused sometimes. They decided to align it with Rogers and no more Conditional Call Forwarding.
But it was found out soon after that it still worked, but only for those who didn't have Voice Mail. I can confirm that it was the case, as it happened to me (I had FidoPro), and my friend's line still worked because he didn't have VM.
If Fido/Rogers allowed people to do whatever they wanted it would be hell for everyone and no one would pay bills. Just because you THINk it should be allowed doesn't mean it is.
Doesn't matter if it's the right thing or not it is not allowed.
But it used to work for Fido for years! It was only changed at a very later time, likely because Fido had too many support calls regarding CF confusion. How can you compare this to some other ridiculous requests?
If Fido is allowed to change the details of their offers, such as this, then Fido should allow customers to leave without paying Early Cancellation Fee.
I, for one, was affected by this change. I didn't fight it but I didn't like it either. But you should get off your high horse.

I love the argument that it doesn't matter if something is right or wrong, it's just the way it is.
Ethics is obviously not a heavily weighted hiring criteria for some companies.
