My plan and usage for Page+

OK so my deal here is i can renew my contract and get an iPhone on Verizon and use their 4G LTE for it with my unlimited data but i would like to cut my cost down by a lot so im not paying so much for the same service i can get cheaper with someone else.

My bigger concern is Talk and Text, Data is not a requirement but its fine for me to have as all i just care for is Web and Email with it. I know everyone has their different needs but you don't never go over your 500 Mbs of data do you?

My question was if i did bring the iPhone over even if i get away with not saying what phone it is couldn't they still look me up with the ESN and all that jazz? How many of you have used the iPhone on Page+ for a while?

I was thinking about getting LG Enlighten for Page+ and just using the 55 plan. So does Page+ seem alot worth it compared to Red Pocket or Jolt or Verizon itself? I would like to only pay the 55 because that seems more reasonable to me and it bundles me for the stuff all in one instead of billed separate. I just needed to figure out if Page+ is more reliable than Red Pocket or Jolt or are they both just about as reliable?

Sorry for so many questions im just trying to figure out my options. Anyone willing to give input please feel free.

Right i've had Verizon for a long time and i like their reliable service. So i maybe better off with them or ST i know they use Sprint/Virgin but i had service almost everywhere i went with them except for one area but it wasn't a big deal since i didn't live there lol.

I have used Page Plus for quite a while and have found their service very reliable. Verizon gives me much better reception at my home than any of the other carriers, so I was thrilled to find a Verizon MVNO like Page Plus. If I had to choose between AT&T and Verizon I would go with Verizon, so I would choose Page Plus over Red Pocket, unless you need the 2GB of data that they offer.

@punisherbv: Page+ is probably your best bet to go. Especially if VZW has the best network coverage in your area. Their $55 plan currently has a sign-up promo (ends Feb. 29) in which you'll get 1gb of data allowance for the rest of the year (2012)!

Also their overage data rate has been dropped to $0.10/MB (except for The Standard Plan) so if you don't use that much data you could use their TnT1200 for $30 and 100mb per month and add $10 (as a balance) which will equate to an additional 100mb. You will not have to add $10 every month, only if it's either low or every 4 months. It's like having a BACKUP in case you go over!!

ST is also a good service to look into BUT they also use AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile services so you have to choose the the correct phone. Most of the time it's the models that end in "C". ST does NOT offer any smartphones using the Verizon network.

Good luck putting a iPhone on PPC. I heard it's more of a if they don't ask then don't tell kinda of thing for you to get on PPC with an iPhone. Hopefully you won't be "abusing" the PPC to attract any attention :P

and the 12 plan. This plan also did not have its data overage rates changed.

This is an excerpt from PP website ......

Effective January 26th, the voice roaming rate and the data overage rate have been be lowered on the 55 plan and the Unlimited Talk n Text plan. The roaming rate is now $.20/minute on both plans, and the data overage rate is now $.10/MB on both plans.

The cash balance does not expire in 4 months (120 days) as long as you stay on a monthly plan.
I recently tested the "don't mention a PP Dealer by name" rule here on PP Hofo......trust me, it is still in effect - got me a 7 day ban.

@tracnet: Oh wow, even better! :-) Thanks for the info.

So the additional $10 would be there in case you go over your allowed 100mb of data per month and it won't have an expiration date? Nice.

It will not expire as long as you have a plan (other than The Standard Plan - aka 'just cash pins') on the account/phone number. And yes it is there to be used for overages on talk, text and/or data.

I see gotcha if I do use a phone it will actually prob be the lg enlighten it seems like a cooler phone compared to the Ally. Otherwise if I wanted an iphone I could use red pocket and try different areas with the service. I mean not having unlimited data on verizon can't be the end of the world. Like others do just turn data off when you don't need it and on when you do.

I've been thinking about ST for Optimus Q. I mean as long as I can get the apps I want/have and can go on the internet fine with email also along with reliable service then that's all I care about. Also I like the 45 unlimited plan too.
