    T moble service

I was at Walmart.com checking out T mobile phones, found one that I like, the T-Mobile Samsung T679 Exhibit II and it says it works in my area, but when I go to the T -mobile web site, it says they DON'T have service in my area. Are the phones from Wal Mart using different towers for service, any insight would be useful.

    Check here http://compass.t-mobile.com/default.aspx
(Hit No At Prompt) Its the most up to date map.

I checked it for your city, it appears coverage is very spotty, you'd probably switch on and off to roaming on AT&T's network.
Which on Monthly4G plans you don't have data on roaming.

It seems like the only towers that are from T-Mobile are on/along Interstate 64 and off to your west in Jasper.

You could try the phone and return it if doesn't give you the coverage you want, maybe they'll add a tower nearby in the future.

You have a Walmart in Birdseye? I think the web site says you have coverage in town but not in the national forest. Maybe you have coverage near WalMart but not near Birdseye.

the Walmart.com site has a thing on there when you buy the phone to enter your zip code to see if it works in your area, that's where I got this info....Not a Wal Mart in this little ol' town of Birdseye,IN....lol

thinking I'm going to try the phone, and do what you said return if it doesn't work , it was a good deal on a smartphone, with the minimal package of $30 pay as u go, would have been a great deal, plus with wifi here at the house I wouldn't have to use any data

If you don't have service, you could hook your phone up to wifi for Wifi Calling.

Motorola Triumph's Speeds from Virgin Mobile^ Samsung Exhibit II 4G Speeds^

Just a heads up on this post.....this phone works great in my area so far, just got it yesterday and I have great signal, I found out it uses AT+T towers on the monthly pay as you go plans....and when I have wifi turned on, it automatically switces to wifi phone, (which also set up automatically), so I don't use any minutes....this thing is great so far....only bad thing was that I couldn't transfer my number from Net 10. Thanks to all the help!!

".and when I have wifi turned on, it automatically switces to wifi phone, (which also set up automatically), so I don't use any minutes" - You mean using a VOIP client? Not a Tmobile Wifi adapter, since, I think, it does not work on Prepaid.

Regular wifi calling works on prepaid. It just uses minutes (but if you are on an unlimited plan that doesn't matter)
