    SGS2X web browser and bookmarks.

I'm playing with a SGS2X (T989) and it seems like Telus locked the bookmarks as I can't remove or modify any of them.

    Am I correct?

Yep. If you want to change you'll have to root the phone and install a custom rom.

Try Dolphin Browser - I've used it on the SGS2X and think its way better than the stock app...and not locked!

Personally after using my Nexus with custom ROMs I have to say, the stock browser is not bad but is nothing compared to what particular ppl have done, Android is simply the future, I will check the browser on the ROM I pick and then will check with Dolphin, but in all I may not pick Dolphin since for what I c ur stock on "Mobile sites" and I love to be able to get inet the proper way, "Mobile sites" are for stuff like BB's and iPhones.

There's an option in Dolphin in how it identifies itself to websites. By default it's Android so you will get "mobile sites" but you can change it to Desktop. Look for User Agent in Settings.

Dolphin and Opera are the two best browsers for Android, IMO. I'd give them both a shot and see what you like most.

Well, I found the solution, first make sure u create a new bookmark or remember which is the first bookmark u added to the browser, then go to the market, there is an App called "SQLite Editor", with it u can look for the databases for the "Web" browser, there is one called "browser.db" and inside u'll have the bookmarks table, now u can edit the whole table, just remove the locked bookmarks and ur set.

Btw, u still the phone to be rooted.
