Samsung C414 Reception issues

I just received a Samsung C414 phone that I need to carry for work and noticed that the phone keeps saying "SEARCHING" and there is no signal and cannot receive or make calls. I had to turn the phone off and power cycle it and it gave me signal (2 bars). My other phone Nokia E5 on the Rogers network as well has full signal and I can make a call no problem.

Has anyone else have this issue or is there some setting that I need to check on the phone?

i know you asked this question but I wanted to answer it... I just got 2 of them free from Telus prepaid trade-in..

Yea, it says "Searching" takes sweet time to find a signal even where there is knows good coverage. Also to likes to reboot if you poke around the menu system too much... Its a piece of sheet.

Hi, my name is Debbie and I just got the same phone last Friday with my Fido dollars after having got the LG Smartphone for o dollars but could not figure out how to answer that phone so I got the samsung c414 and I live in the basement apartment of a house but yeah the same issues, it looses connection, constantly says searching and no is able to call me so ive had numerous missed calls so I took my phone back to where I got it and the salesman put the sim card back into my previous phone that Ive had for two years which is an LG slider with a keyboard, that one is excellent
