In order to get the double data, you will need to get a 4G phone. 3G phones are not included in the double data.
v Speed Test with my Motorola Droid in AL. Droid Does (and so Does Verizon).

Speed Test with my Motorola Droid in Birmingham, AL. Droid Does (and so Does Verizon).^

Speed Test with DSL internet with AT&T(Bellsouth). Horrible.

My wife has used a little over 3gb(with my help) with no throttling whatsoever so she's happy. The double data has worked out nicely.

Talked to Verizon this morning. Two people were rude, but thankfully my AT&T phone dropped calls on both of them! Seriously! So I called from my work line on the 3rd try and talk to a nice lady. She basically said Texas gets the unlimited text and mobile to any mobile and it's still available right now. She didn't tell me how much but it was around $25 it seems that was added in the costs. So if I got the 450 minute plan, plus mobile to any mobile with unlimited text, the 4gb with tethering option (which she said had unlimited tethering if that is true?), and it would actually be 8gb this Friday, it would be around $120 with taxes she said a month. They would not match Amazon for the $199 price for the RAZR MAXX though. She said I would have to get it from them, then call them to add the options afterwards. One guy said Amazon has their own policy that you have to meet with changing anything on your plan or phones and then you have to meet theirs too. Is that true? If that is the case, I will just pay the extra $100 and get it from Verizon directly.

So if I canceled my ipad data plan $25 a month, add that to the data plan for Verizon so I have tethering, I can use my ipad on the go still but faster speeds.

So basically I would pay ETF and leave AT&T on that one line, pay $190, port it over, save $40 a month there, maybe $50 if I drop the minutes down, then $25 on the ipad data, so that is $75.

Put that towards the $120 a month, and I would have to pay $45 additional a month than I am paying now for the phone coverage and hope I don't go over 450 minutes. I shouldn't as long as I get the mobile to any mobile on the plan.

    What you think?

I'm about 90% sure that's correct. Once you sign the order with Amazon with whatever services and plan you request during checkout, you can't make *any* change to the plan or features for 6 months, I think it was. If you change something, Amazon will charge you their ETF.

You should do this, Best Buy is giving 50.00 gift cards out if you upgrade or anything with them. https://www-ssl.bestbuy.com/site/ols...&DCMP=rdr17341 Enroll your number in it, go to Best Buy and get the Maxx and get 50.00 off of it and port your number to Verizon. Best Buy has no extra contracts like Amazon does (that is why Amazon and other 3rd party online places have an extra contract). Not sure if they can add the Any Mobile, if not Verizon can just by calling them.

I just signed up for that. Guess they look me up in their system when I show up and give me the card then huh? I actually have $60 bucks worth of Best Buy credits that I can use on this I bet, then get a $50 card back after this. Haha. Even exchange. Thanks for the tip. Depending how my MRI goes tomorrow, I will probably go this weekend to get it.

I talked to Verizon again today and Best buy is exactly the same as Amazon. You sign your own contract with them and if you make any changes in the first 6 months to your plan, they will charge/bill me the full amount on the phones.

Well this axes that for using Best Buy. :/

    Axe a silly question......
If I'm annoyed and you're annoyed, does that make us a paranoid ??

No, they are not like Amazon. I worked for BBY Mobile. They don't make you sign another contract, so no need to worry.

Well I ordered the RAZR Maxx's today and a flip for the 3rd line. Can't wait to get them. Got the 4GB w/mobile hotspot on one and 4gb data on the other. Going to TRY and convert them later to unlimited once I get them in my hands if the loophole will work or not. Goodbye AT&T!

Yeah I'm considering getting the maxx. It's pretty sweet and the battery on it is a beast.
