Tired of iPhone, looking for a phone with big screen for around $200 w/o contract

Looks like I'll be jumping over to the Android camp soon. I'm sick of this tiny 3.5" screen on the iPhone. Sure, the iPhone 5 is rumored to have a 4" screen, but even that doesn't cut it. I don't want a contract so I know I'm going to have to get an older phone, hopefully not more than a year old. My main objective is to get a phone with at least a 4.3" screen, and it has to work on T-Mobile since I'm using Walmart's Family Mobile plan.

Oh yeah, and it has to be able to be rooted. Not too familiar with the Android side of things so I'm not sure if some phones don't allow it.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

You'll be looking at year old phones then. HTC desire was a nice phone but a pain to root. Sgs II is a good choice but that's on contract. Check out your local CL and see if you can find a deal

You never said what carrier you have. The x2 was ok from what i heard. Also if you want a physical kb there are through droid 3 and stratosphere that are pretty cheap used now

4.3" screen isn't all that common. But I think the Samsung Exhibit II is pretty good and goes for less than $200. It screen is just 3.7" though.

The ZTE Warp for Boost has a 4.3" screen, great call quality, and even has been reported running faster on data than the iPhone 4S. It's also $200 and has just been released at Best Buy and RadioShack.

It has some downsides too (all phones do I suppose), but they're relatively insignificant, and hey, it meets your two major requirements.
