Depends on where the little birdie works. I remember last year December 2010 when my classmate's friend who works at some manager-level position at Apple told him that they were going to release the iPhone 4 for VZW in February. Turns out he was right. Unless this little birdie happens to work at some higher-up position at VZW or Apple, I'd take it with grain of salt.
But as with all rumors, I'll believe it when I see it. T-Mobile doesn't charge the same sky high contract prices that VZW and AT&T do to subsidize the iPhone. They'll have the toughest time yet making a profit from iPhone customers.

VZW prices were high before the iphone, now they are losing money along with Sprint. I see no way T-mobile could afford the iphone. Apple make record profits and carries bleed money. Seems pretty one sided to me.
They lost $2 billion last quarter. Not all due to the iphone, but subsiding iphones isn't cheap.
They lost most of their money due to pension related issues and AT&T due to the failed merger attempt. Look for Sprint to loose money as it's been the current business model.
