    4Info (44636) Short Codes

Is there a reason why text messages from 4Info (44636) are not allowed through metroPCS? The phone will successfully send a text to them, but nothing is ever received back.

4Info's support staff indicated metroPCS only allows them from selected companies and affiliates and not from every company.

Their messages are free, so what's the big deal???

Short code messaging is not included in the base $40 plan. If you are paying $40 a month, then you are not getting short code messaging.

If you are paying for short codes and/or it's included in your plan then see if your local store's ASR can help... Have your local store email their ASR regarding the short codes you want supported. They may be able to at least find out why and/or help them get on the approved list...

    Wirelessly posted (LGE-MN180/1.0 UP.Browser/6.2.3.8 (GUI) MMP/2.0)

Short codes are part of my plan, at this time. The only ones that come through are Google (46645), but the same info from 4Info has more detail. Almost not worth it for the extra five dollars each month.
