Chinese text message not working properly

I am using a Nexus S on mobi, and the text message seems not working propertly when sent in Chinese(simplified). My friends cannot read my Chinese message, but I can read theirs with no problem.

Besides, the Chinese font displays no problem if I send the message via Whatsapp on 3G network(not wi-fi). Is this only me, or more a mobi-wide issue? Any work around?

    Thank you!

Never had an issue with sending Chinese (traditional) SMS from Mobi to Rogers when I was still with Mobi. Is this happening to one person or multiple?

Sent from my HTC Glacier using HowardForums

    Thanks for your info.

I tried 3+ friends, and none of them can read my SMS in simplified Chinese. I can probably try traditional one,but not sure if that is the cause.

No problem sending traditional Chinese SMS on Spice and Galaxy Nexus. I may have received a few too.

Problem is not mobilicity, it's your rom.

So far CM7 does not send it properly. CM9, ICS and MIUI will send chinese text properly.

I posted a thread in CM but no one replied, and the latest stable build is from Oct 2011. I don't think it is being actively maintained. Your best luck is ICS or MIUI.

    I'm currently using CM9.
