About the only thing I would like to see added is the default weather app... it would be nice if the icon reflected the current local temperature instead of that same old sunny and 73? The calendar app displays the current date, so why can't the weather do the same?
Of course fixing the WiFi and fixing the signal issues would be nice. I can't count how many times my phone suddenly loses signal and will not get it back until I reboot my phone.

the difference between the weather and calendar app is the calendar app gets updated once every 24 hours, for the weather app to work like that it would have to be either constantly updated or updated every time you take it out of standby and that would be a battery drain (that's why Apple doesn't do live widgets or animated wallpapers. That takes battery to run) and everyone with an iphone knows that they are already hard on batteries as it is. I would rather just swipe down from the top of teh screen to take a quick look at the weather than deal with more things to drain the iphone battery.
And obviously there is something wrong with your phone if you need to reboot it when it loses signal since most people's iPhones do NOT do that. I don't know why so many people hang onto their phones when they have obvious huge technical issues like this rather than just exchanging it for one that works. That is NOT normal iPhone behaviour, and I have had the iPhone 4 and 4S and have travelled between BC and Ontario and have lost signal lots of times, ranging from being in a building that blocked signal to being on a plane to being in the subway and it always reconnects after I get back into a signaled area. And what is the wifi issue? Rather than waiting around for Apple to fix issues "in the next iphone" why not just take the initiative and get it fixed now via an exchange?
I would like to see a larger screen and longer battery life.
After seeing what Motorola has been able to do with batteries in the Droid Razr Maxx. I'm hoping that Apple is able to get more battery into the next iPhone.

Those are diametrically opposed requests; larger screen = higher power requirement.
The sad thing is battery power density has gotten better over the years but batteries have been getting smaller to make slimmer phones resulting in minimal improvements in life. If the iPhone were the size of an old Treo 650 or 700 with a current technology battery, I am sure we would be looking at four day lifetime on the current iPhone. Talk that the iPhone 5 will be slightly thinner than the 4S means the battery is going to get smaller.
Wirelessly posted (iPhone 4: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)
I would really like if the apple logo on the back was illuminated just like on Macs.
Make it a user selectable so that we can choose if it glows or not.

I guess I should have stated a larger screen and more powerful battery, the Razr Maxx manages to fit a 3300mAh battery in a design that is thinner than the iPhone. I realize it is a wider and longer, but its still not as big or heavy as my iPhone 4s with Mophie Juice Pack on it.
What features would you like in iPhone5
for eg it could have quadcore processor or better resolution or could have 4G/LTE capability
its already been leaked out that it IS gonna have a quad core processor and it will be a 4 inch screen…. & they are going against Steve Job's wishes to keep it a 3.5 inch screen..

So you're saying that if Steve was still alive, Apple would have never increased the screen size? That's a pretty bold statement. What's your source for that claim?
I am a little confused. My Verizon phone was able to roam on GSM because they used TDMA. Tell it was shutdown. The phone recognizes it as Analog. If PCS has TDMA, It could be technically be used on GSM.

4G LTE and a bigger screen are must haves for me on the next iPhone. It would also be nice to have a 12+ mp camera with even better optics and a quad core processor.
