Is that when the Android Market says like GV is only 3 mbs for a file (i think its driving at that) but when you install it its really 8 mbs and this same thing happens to other apps as well. Would you guys know why?

If I understand you correctly you're asking about a discrepancy between the size of the downloaded APK file and the amount of "drive" space the O/S reports the app is using once it's installed. For the most part this is because APK files are compressed archives, which are expanded to their full size when they are installed.
