MD/VA/DC Users - Post your monthly data usage, and are you being throttled?

I am trying to determine what ATT considers to be bandwidth allocation for the top 5%, which is of course subjective since the top 5% in Kansas may only use 500 meg.

I have used plenty of bandwidth in the past, currently I am at 2.7G, my previous months have all been between 3 and 4G, with no issue, however I am being throttled at the moment.. I may as well use a 1970's 300 baud modem..

So in the interest of doing a little math.. ALL DC, MD and VA users around the DC Metro area, please post your prior 2 months of data usage, whether or not you are being throttled. If you are being throttled, where you able to figure out at what point in your usage that is started.

This is driving me nuts. At least give us the damn "unlimited" (aka 5G) amount we signed up for originally, and then start throttling. Arbitrary values suck ***..

I was throttled at around one and a half g around three quarters through the cycle so it seemed like they didn't even want me to use 2gb. I'll have to go back and look for sure(I took notes). I no longer have the plan but I was def throttled in order to get me off the unlimited plan.

It's all arbitrary to kick people off unlimited plans, complete with a special "customer service" team of people who are trying to push people into the 3GB plan.

AT&T is quite crap in the DC area and edge speeds are not uncommon around DC.

The only time see anything sustained over 1.5MB is at 3am.

Technically if all you guys who get throttled try to use as much data as possible (or everyone did) then the top 5% would continue to climb!

My dad has been pretty happy with AT&T in the DC area....if you want good data speeds though you should be on LTE.

I am on LTE.. Galaxy S II Skyrocket. I usually get around 30 to 40 meg in the DC area (around 5 to 10 in the burbs out in Springfield and Annapolis (I live near Annapolis and commute to Springfield)... Currently I am getting 0.11 Mbps, my iphone, or a different account, is getting 6 Mbps, so it is not the crappy reception or network.

I did figure out a way to get around the throttling, but I am hesitant to post it publicly (I am sure it already has been somewhere, but I could not find it), I would like to utilize the method for as long as possible before ATT catches on.. and I find out what the repercussions are of giving them and their anti consumer policies the finger.

If I were throttled on AT&T I would just turn off the Wi-Fi on the phone and stream Pandora 24/7.

Norfolk, VA... but spend a lot of time in the Richmond/Chesterfield/Hanover Co areas

I haven't noticed throttling, or received any sort of letter in regards to such. I will point out though... my usage is more of a marathon than a sprint. I tether with my laptop/desktop, and am a heavy torrent user. I will just plug the phone in and let it run for days on end leeching/seeding. Even if they do decide to throttle, I probably wouldn't notice, as I frequently just leave my phone at home (to do it's business) and go about my day.

It's not that I want you to get hurt... I just wanna be there when it happens
