Wish I had a log-in., but a-I already knew they were on for $150 tomorrow, so I already planned a visit to a store tomorrow, and b-was watching a movie this afternoon when they dropped, and c-that whole 'damaged box' kinda tickled the deal. Though, Heck, worst case scenario you return it? Not like Telus can ACTUALLY sell damaged electronics, and not take them back lol. For $100...32gb PB ain't that bad at all.
Oh., they're long OOS by now., don't bother.
They're also dropping the 'new' units instores tomorrow AM. Swarm Swarm Swarm!!!!

Yeah I saw the $149 price on crackberry today. Can we call to order, or do we have to find a dealer that has some in stock? Does Future Shop/Best Buy count as a TELUS dealer in this situation? Or if not, will they price match? All questions I guess I'll find out tomorrow...
Anyways as for the Team Webstore discussion, please remember it's against the rules to request or post login credentials on howardforums (publicly or privately).

You have to find a location with stock. Or try again on the team webstore if you have a friend. (No extra discount on this item through the web store though, was still $149)

We think everyone should be able to afford a wireless phone. That's why we were the first wireless company in North America to offer pay-by-the-second airtime, and why we don't charge an activation fee. NO scary contract to sign. Immediate national coverage. And a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. Yes, it's finally time to get a wireless phone.

What does that mean 'won't accept returns'? Does that mean stores can accept returns...but the stores just tosses it in the bin if defective??
A defective Playbook within 14 days would qualify for a DOA exchange. Past that, it would still be eligible for warranty repair (through RIM - tablets don't have a 'facilitated' repair process like phones). What that bulletin is saying is that stores with Playbook stock are no longer able to take a restocking charge and return them to Telus - what stock they have they're stuck with to sell through. Stores may or may not still accept customer Playbook returns as per individual and/or ad-hoc policy.

Everyone I called is out of stock, and was out well before the sale went on. But Tom Harris Cellular at 160th and Fraser Highway in Surrey said they'll take an order for $149 PlayBook if I pay in full up front. I'm willing to do this, but I'm skeptical because I thought it was an until supplies last kind of deal? I'm worried they're going to call me back in a week and tell me they made a mistake. I'm not worried about losing any money (because I know they'll have to refund me), but I am worried about halting my search, and then finding out too late that I missed the boat. Thoughts?

Surprise, surprise; I get there within an hour of phoning, and they now say that TELUS doesn't have any to be ordered. They're blaming TELUS, but obviously it's their fault for assuming and giving out wrong information. She said she has a whole list of customers to call back and tell them not to come in.
Every dealer I've called has said they've been flooded with calls. Only one had any stock, and it was just the 64GB @ $299.
