Standard or Talk and Text 250 ?

Newcomer to PagePlus. Just ported my old Verizon phone to PagePlus with HTC Droid Incredible I. Can't decide if I should go with standard (pay as you go) or Text and Talk 250 monthly plan. I don't use the phone much, less than 250 minutes a month. I don't surf the web much either. Anybody had tried both plans and can chimed in for me to help me make a financially sound decision...

You really need to know your exact usage for anybody to make an informed suggestion. Take a look at your prior Vzw bills and let us know.

I graphed out my wife and my usage from our 2 years of sprint bills before making the decision to move to page plus. Make sure you take into account the 'anytime' minutes since those will not be free when on PP.

If you use it less than 250 mins/month and no txt/web the standard $80 pin (2000 minutes) is perfect for you. It is good for 365 days, and at 250 mins/month you will use 2k mins in 8 months.

The point is, the OP didn't mention SMS or MMS at all, and "I don't surf the web much either" is a VERY subjective statement. Does that mean data usage of 1MB/mo or 250MB/mo or ??/mo? Also, MMS is very expensive on the Standard Plan.

    Here is simple calculation.
    $12 - 250 min. 250 text.

Just for the moment let say, you do not text.
    so standard plan, $80 = 2000 min.

$12 = 250 min per month* 12 month = 3000 min but you have to pay $144 per year.
    250 min * 8 month = 2000 min cost $96.

web stuff, you can use wifi only. But I would rather have text option with $12 monthly plan.

If you use more than 250 text then you can use $10.95(monthly) for 2000 text with $80 standard plan.
But still you will pay more than $12 monthly plan as following calculation.

    Per year = $80(2000 min) + (10.95*12) = $211.40
