I am interested in having the ability to remotely view text messages on my child's phone. It's a dumb phone on page plus. It's a long story, but I am having trouble with her, and I need her to have the phone or I would just take it away. She's smart enough (after being caught)to delete text messages, and keeps her phone book clear. I know there are several options for a smart phone, however I do not want to "reward" her with a new phone. That and she's rough on phones.
I know this is probably a touchy subject given the spying nature of my needs, but any help would be appreciated.
ps, I have checked out mobile watchdog, and one other, but they require smart phones.
I just want the truth from her. She continues to put herself in unsafe situations with people and such. Her mother and I are no longer together, and I don't live in the same city as they do, so I hear the problems from her mother, and i've experienced several myself. I just want her to be safe...hence needing her to keep the phone, but needing to know what is going on so her mother and I can head off unsafe behavior.
Personally I would not snoop on her - you break the parent's trust. I would just ask the phone provider
to turn off the data and SMS, so all she has is ability to make phone calls.
