We don't have a CDMA overlay on that site nor does Sprint expect us to be getting one anywhere in the inconceivable future, so if it does get decommissioned, then yes, no more Sprint service.
"Select towers in this area are under evaluation for possible early June 2012 impact. Check back closer to impact date."
Same with mine. No grey sites. I guess they have not had the time to evaluate them. Sprint had collocated on all the sites either before or after the merger.
From what I hear they are doing Louisiana first then going from there. Maybe we have such a small pool of Nextel customers they decided to do us first. Doesn't suprise me...I know of only 2 people with Nextel and they work for the same company. Everyone else has AT&T around here.

I don't know any nextel customers but I do know quite a few people use boost iden around here. I'm really not sure what the advantage to Post-Paid iden is. You can't roam (domestically) with either and you get the same service.

Nextel use is low here too, I can't remember seeing anyone on Nextel, and I have not touched Nextel myself since 2008/2009. Only some service centers (like the service at the dealership) use them for parts drivers and stuff... but there are still like what, 5 million out there?
Customers can no longer look up which towers are being evaluated for decommissioning because Sprint's competitors were misrepresenting the information on it.
What is poetic is that the ambiguous modification in the thread title could be construed to mean that the particular Sprint web site itself is to be shut down. And, well, that is exactly what happened.
