    Ban the Lock screen?

Does anyone know how to get rid of thee lock screen? I'm talking about the one where you have to drag the circle. For me it's not something I want to do several times a day.

There are apps you can install for this purpose, such as No Lock (https://market.android.com/details?i...android.nolock).

If that app doesn't work for your phone, maybe one of the related apps does.

I'm talking about the slide screen, whatever it's called. Just want to hit the power button and have Tablet.

Yes, it's called the 'lock screen'; and it can be disabled natively as long as your running Android 4.0 using the directions above

Yes, if you are using 4.0, you can get rid of the slide to unlock screen.

You will remove it, the problem is that the short-cut keys of menu phone will have your phone butt dialling. I found that out in the first hour I had it when it called someone 5 times from my hip pouch. So I enabled the lockout to prevent that. The sheer stupidity of a touch screen that has a quick boot like that makes no sense.

It's a tablet, no but dialing, and no 4.0!
Recently I bought a Samsung printer that had a Samsung retail price on $214.00, but I got it at Staples for 100 bucks. So I investigated some more and found out that the only devices that are sold at retail (inflated x2) were wireless devices. So you have the horse behind the cart.
Oh dear, OpenSignalMaps says Lte 3% of the time! And ATT map say Good to go Lte! If interested you can get OpenSignalMaps from Anroid play.

Have you tried an app on the market called No Lock Screen. It's actually just a toggle style widget in the style of Power Control, and it did exactly what it claims to do.

Na, but thanks, I'm a happy camper with no lock. Btw it's a widget too, and I set it not to lock and deleted the shortcut.
