I wonder if there's any chance of seeing LTE in St. John's, Newfoundland.

iPhone 4 is not LTE therefore, will not work anyway. Getting a new phone would mean you would probably still qualify for that plan as long as it's available in your current market.

Telus is not going to require special plans for LTE.

If your plan works on HSPA today, you can get the new SIM card and an LTE capable device will work. You will get the faster speeds and be able to blow through your plan limit faster.

We think everyone should be able to afford a wireless phone. That's why we were the first wireless company in North America to offer pay-by-the-second airtime, and why we don't charge an activation fee. NO scary contract to sign. Immediate national coverage. And a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. Yes, it's finally time to get a wireless phone.

    Kardall,

To be more precise, the card will work in the iPhone 4 only in UMTS/HSPA (or GSM wherever roaming is required whenever out of 3G footprint).

    Que_Ball,

Yes, TELUS has stated that it is not rate plan-dependent for LTE service access. Regardless, we will NOT have the LTE service on TELUS WITHOUT any of the following...

    1. The TELUS V3 LTE SIM / microSIM card
    2. The mobile line is properly provisioned for the LTE service access
    3. The compatible LTE-capable device operates in the LTE Band 4 (AWS)
    4. Reliable LTE coverage wherever we use the service
