I got rid of my EX124 a while ago but let me try.
Do the numbers in Contacts have the 1+ then the number? Some phones automatically supply the 1+ for numbers stored as a home phone, and leave it off for numbers stored as mobile.
The number coming in has to exactly match the number in Contacts in order to display. If the number is stored with 1+ but the call comes in without it, then they won't match and the caller id won't display it.
