Pay for it. You're in the wrong thread.
My friend, you need to read the thread over again. Why would you make that comment? We're not talking about "paying" or "not paying" for anything. The point is that you *can't* get a number like Google Voice (where you can call and text) in Canada, for free or for a fee. I absolutely would pay for it (I'm currently paying $9.95 for Line2, which doesn't have texting yet) but our carriers are delaying the arrival of SMS. That was my point. I would pay for it if it was here. Thanks for thread crapping though.

It's an excellent app but it just seems to end up closed after running in the BG for <1hr in Android... is this a common issue anyone else is finding?

I was a fan of line2 for the longest while but then switched over to freephoneline.ca, purchased the voip settings for a one time charge of $50 and have been using SIP clients on my laptop, smartphones and tablets for the past little while.

I switched from line2 over to freephoneline due to lack of SMS. The voice quality is just as excellent.

Dell voice uses the same infra as freephoneline. It's a great app if you don't have your own SIP client!

    Thanks,
    Dunny
