Question regarding cancelling a non DSRF Rogers contract.

Hello. I switched over to Rogers two years ago, and I used my own unlocked Blackberry. I don't think th DSRF cancellation fee apllies to me, or does it in some other way? I've signed a one yearly contract to received free call display, I now have three weeks left in my contract. If I choose to cancell now, like today, am I expected to pay any fees? I would like clarify this matter for own knowledge. Thanks.

Yes, you fall under the old rules so if you cancelled now you'd be charged $100 for voice and $25 for data if you subscribed to a data plan with a term.

I have voice plan with them right now. Wow, only three weeks left and I would still be charged. Someone from Telus, states that if I switched over, it would be a "port of acquisition". I would qualify for up to $150 credit towards my Telus bill. Would you happen to know what this means?

It means that Telus will offer you a bill credit of $150 if you port your number over to them to offset cancellation fees you may incur. Rogers will still bill you for cancellation fees.

And of course you would still be charged, you're still in a contract.
