I've just installed the Belle update to the E7. I heard it is available for the other original Symbian^3 devices. I have an unlocked version. Is it also available for carrier versions?
It is quite a bit different from Anna & having a steep learning curve here. Key things I am looking for are gone/changed - like "Connect via WiFi Only". Not sure I like the new Social App (with the separated out FaceBook & Twitter).
Right now I am having major issues w/ the homescreens. Adding widgets/shortcus does not seem to work -- it just stalls (the circle keeps spinning) & never installs them.

It's a USB only upgrade. I updated mine with no issues and the only thing that doesn't work so far is the Battery Info widget, it just hangs. Everything else seems good to go.
The power saving mode has been moved from tapping the battery icon to pressing the power button. The only other thing I miss (so far!) is the menu item "show open applications". I used that a ton because the long button press is often awkward.
[EDIT] - Battery info is working now, looks like a reboot took care of it.

I have an unlocked n8 and don't see the update in either phone or Nokia Suite...any clues?
I have an Orange N8 from the US with product code 059D112. The avalibility site says that it's avalible for that product code, but Nokia Suite says it's not avalible. Also, Navifirm doesn't have it yet. (just checked again, its there on Navifirm now. )

Yep, my N8 is also an orange version from the US with the same product code.
Sorry for the nOOBness but what does navifirm do? ...and consequently what do I need to get it so I can get my update!
I tried the update through Nokia Suite. It hangs on restarting phone. Never does anything else, have been trying for hours. First it hung on USB connection. I have rebooted and closed everything down as per instructions. Still will not install. Giving up.
I updated my N8 by Phoenix when I saw the files pop up briefly Feb 1st on NaviFirm and haven't had major issues yet. Battery life the first couple days was terrible but I had wifi and social summary app running. Turned both off and battery life is just over a day. About the same or slightly better than Anna to me.
The learning curve is steep on it. I like some of the things that were done and others not so much. I'd love to know where the put widgets to offline mode has gone.
Most of my apps stayed over from Anna while others had to be re-installed.
Now that the official Belle versions are out I'm going to pull the files via NaviFirm and do a full refurb with Phoenix and reload everything to see how that goes.

Nothing Nooby about that, Navifirm is an application that allows you to D/L firmware straight from Nokia, the same files ment for official technitions. You would use Phoenix to load it to your hand set. It would take to long to explain the steps and there are tons of step-by-step instructions everywhere for the process.
Good luck. I'm being lazy today, I'm just going to wait for the normal upgrade my self.

Make sure your Nokia suite is on 3.3.86. I had the same prob this morning, updated my suite, and everything works fine. make sure you follow the Nokia suite screens and not whats happening on the phone screen til it tells you to do something.
