Anybody jumping ship to the S2 when it comes out?

I know I am. My Mesmerize was a good phone once I got it the way I wanted it. I'm not saying the Electrify isn't a good phone, I like it a lot, but there are thing I miss in the Samsung, that the Electrify doesn't have. So just asking.....who is heading back to Samsung when the S2 drops?

Another 3g phone when 4g is just around the corner? No thanks.

I'll take my chances with USCC's Droid charge (Aviator)

I'll pass on the Aviator. I feel like its less of a phone than the Electrify. And US Cellular will be releasing 4g in my area when 4g starts. If something else comes out 4g wise thats better than the aviator, i'll decide again then.

Going to get an S2 for a few days to play around with. Most likely will be going back, unless someone on my plan wants it. One thing I don't like about it is the combination charging/hdmi port. I mirror to tv alot and wouldn't be able to chage while doing it. also sceptical about Samsung reception, couldn't hold a call in my house on the Mez. Also bought the Atrix lapdock and modded it to use with my Electrify and I can't see doing without that.
MOTOROLA Still #1 in reception and call clarity.

I imagine both me and my wife will upgrade to the S2 when it launches, so assuming they don't announce anything equally exciting that will also be 4G before then. We aren't in a 4G launch area, so by the time it gets to us we'll probably be able to upgrade again to a high end 4G device.

I don't think they are coming out with the S2 and the Aviator, are they? I thought that was the same phone. I don't remember them announcing the S2 and its not on their site.

    And I also thought the S2 was a 4G.

S2 hasn't been formally announced, but it's listed in the internal phone system, and also on an unreleased rebate form. It's a different device than the Aviator, and is not 4G.

Why would it not be 4G, all other S2 on other networks are 4G.

None of them use LTE as the network tech. The GSM carriers use HSDPA, and the Sprint version uses WiMax.

Why isn't the Electrify 4G? Photon is. I talked to local agent and he told me aviator is not the s2, 2 separate phones. He also thought s2 would roll out same time as 4G...

I won't be getting it. Very impressed with the electrify coming from the mesmerize and the 7 pro. Love this phone so much. Until a 4G windows phone or a successor to the electrify that is also 4g is released I shall stay where I am at.

Would love to have the S2 if it were 4G, since I will be in a 4G area, my understanding it will not be. So no 2G here.
No 4G Aviator either, why would I want a year old, re-branded Charge, mid-level phone.
Will just stay with my crappy upgraded to 2.3 Mez until (if) something 4G worthwhile come out.

This thread is useful to me.

I've been a Moto fan for years and was sad not see a Moto Android on USCC.

I am pretty much set in stone to upgrade to the Electrify from my Mesmerize next month.

While I love my SGS, the Moto has everything I need. So thanks but no thanks, now if we got the SGS Note... I might reconsider.
