Does anyone know how long the rebates usually take? Will CS waive the rebates if you call in?
Also, what about going to a Best Buy Mobile? They don't do rebates, correct? CT and RI don't allow prices to be advertised as $0 if there's a rebate, are the rebates in effect in those states?
T-Mobile FT 600 $49.99/Free Myfaves All Lines/$5.99 T-Zones 5 Lines/UL FamilyText $9.99

Times will vary. I've received them in as little as 3 weeks. Customer Service CANNOT waive the rebate requirement. No one at T-mobile is able to waive those required rebates. Best to save yourself and them a headache and not even ask them. They probably get that question at least a hundred times a day.

Thanks. What about pushing up upgrade dates? I've got a couple lines with no data that are 4 months away from full upgrades, if I add data will they change eligibility?
Have anyone tried to to get the deal on the old plan? I have the family time 700, called CSR and they said I would need to change to some unlimited plan. I checked tmobile online and was able to add a new line with the GS2 for 249 and the rebate. Rebate term is different though, 2 year contract and text-talk-web plan OR have web add on. I went ahead with the order hopefully tmobile doesn't screw me over , there's always buyer remorse period.

Retention can. And then you can submit it anyway! I got my S II a week after it was released, got it for $130 up front (it was going for $280 - $50 mail in rebate), waived upgrade fee, $5 shipping -- then when it came I submitted the $50 rebate. Got it a couple weeks later = $80. They even threw in the $20 preferred data AND $10/mo loyalty credit.
Castrol EDGE 5W-30 is my drug of choice.

HIGHLY HIGHLY YMMV but my gf just did. She's on the same plan as you, with myFaves, $20 preferred data, $10 family messaging etc. They offered the black S II for FREE instantly, just had to pay $5 shipping. She got two. They really really wanted to switch her over to a new Classic plan but she held her ground and kept her plan. I say it's very YMMV because the first rep she talked to flatly said "no, you have to switch to an unlimited plan and do the mail in rebate"
So anyway, it can be done. You just have to get the right rep and understand you have to renew and add data etc.
Imagine if tmobile has this deal and offered the iphone for free after rebate.
Could apple block that?
Yes. Apple can and would block that. They don't allow their products to go on "sale". If the price drops, it's because Apple has approved the price drop.
I made two separate orders for one HTC Amaze. I plan to go back to T-Mobile prepaid after the rebate clears.
So what is the bare minimum family plan required on it?
