I will be upgrading on the 11th!
LTE has arrived. The third carrier in Las Vegas with 10x10 LTE coverage

Coverage will expand to 100 million LTE pops for the first half of 2013, with the second half of 2013 expanding to 200 million POPs covered. Release 10 LTE (2×10, 2×20) will be better performing than all other competitors.
T-Mobile USA. “This year, we’re stepping on the gas again. We are making continued coverage improvements and launching an advanced LTE network

I went and read all the details, I don't see what the big deal is, you're still stuck paying MIR and hoping they give you your money back. Plus you end up paying taxes on what you purchase, which won't be rebated. In other words this is a free deal, it's just more fraud in advertising.

In my state the taxes are the same (based on retail). I got my MIR's at my last upgrade so I have no problems with this.

T-Mo is actually pretty fast with their rebates. I got my S II rebate in about 4 weeks. My gf will be doing two upgrades this weekend on the S II.

To qualify for the rebate, do I need to give up my $20 android data plan for this 5GB plan?

You may have to give up your voice plan as well. If you have an individual plan, you need to be on the Classic Unlimited Talk + Text. ($60) Then you need to add a 2GB for ($20) unless you're getting an Amaze or SGSII then you'll need the 5GB ($30) plan instead.

So I am on the Even More Plus for Families 1500 Talk + Text(1 web2go data plan) plan where I have 4 lines using them. Will I be eligible to get the phones if I add a 2 year contract to my plan now? Thanks

Even More Plus plans don't have contracts. You can convert it to a value plan, sign a contract and then make 20 months of payments for the device you want. You would however qualify for the rebate.

But does the value plan usually cost more that the even more plus plan?
