Virgin Mobile USA Recognized by J.D. Power for Overall Customer Satisfaction Performance in the 2012 Wireless Customer Care Non-Contract Volume 1 Study
Boost Mobile Ranked Second
According to J.D. Power and Associates, Virgin Mobile USA’s overall index score was significantly higher than the industry average, 735 vs. 698, and Virgin Mobile experienced the largest improvement from last year’s study among all ranked non-contract carriers.
“Virgin Mobile is truly a multi-level brand, and our different plans are tailored for the various ways customers use their mobile devices”

Significantly higher? That score's just 6% higher than the average. It may be statistically significant, but it's not exactly a score that blows away the competition.
I've been with Virgin Mobile for two and half years. Considering all the pre-paid competition that is out there, VM is really one of the best deals. The $25 grandfathered BT plan is going to be hard to leave. I don't know if I ever will, to be honest.
Other carriers are catching up, and even surpassing VM with available devices. I suspect if this brand wants to keep its high rankings, they'll need to step up their game. Straight Talk is looking pretty good right now.

Fixed that for ya. They don't offer the $25 plan anymore.

That is to be seen. But at the current rate, I don't see this going down too well for VM. I see Sprint really pushing the $35 plan (formerly the $25 plan) through commercials and all these billboards in SF, but nothing to show for it. $35 gets you nearly nonexistent internet, a poor offering of phones, and 300 minutes. $10 with ST gets you unlimited minutes, super fast data speeds by T-Mobile and AT&T, and the option of having the option of choosing among hundreds of GSM smartphones out there.

Virgin Mobile has a long history of offering fantastic service options that meet the demands of their subscribers at any given point in time. I recall Unlimited Talk service, Texters Delight plans, and other services, that were unique and not available on competing carriers. The Beyond Talk service options are still hard to beat, but could use some adjusting ~ perhaps introducing a' la cart options that could enhance the existing options. The same can be said about the current PayLo service ~ which is in serious need of new service options and devices if Sprint/Virgin Mobile will be launching a serious effort to capture additional PAYGO subscribers.
There exists an opportunity to enhance PayLo with Tiered Unlimited service offers such as Monthly Unlimited Talk $40, Monthly Unlimited Talk and Text $45, and Monthly Unlimited Talk,Text, & Web $50 ~ such a service could directly compete against VZW's Unleashed service plans and AT&T's GoPhone offers.
PayLo can also expand by introducing DAILY Unlimited PAYGO service offers.
Unlimited Talk For as little as $0.99 cents per day. (billed only on days used)
Unlimited Talk & Text $1.50 per day. (billed only on days used)
Unlimited Talk, Text & Web $1.99 per day. (billed only on days used)
Now that Sprint has successfully corrected the old VM customer service issues, it is time for them to initiate a renewed effort to invigorate the PayLo service. Basic devices do not have to be boring. There still exists a need for a Touch Screen slider (similar to the LG Rumor Touch/LG Extravert) and better quality flip phones on PayLo.
Having been with both Boost and VMUSA, I can say that this is an accurate assessment of their relative customer services. Boost service was horrible. Yeah, someone answers the phone, but you can't understand them and they can't help you and they hate you. At least with VM they are polite and can usually help you and if they can't you can call again and get someone that can.

I could not agree more. Whenever I called customer service at Boost it was a struggle to even communicate what the problem was. Outside of that the two companies are pretty comparable.
boost has the worst customer support, i called because i had a problem with my prevail and he told me that the prevail did not have android 2.3 and that he was an expert at his job.
Implying VM has good customer service either? Wherever it's based, the people there seem to be well trained in skills of dishing out bull Somehow I doubt they have acknowledged the Prevail getting Gingerbread just because that way they don't have to explain how to obtain it...
Path of Least Explanation... yeah.
But seriously, for the price they're still unbeatable, although T-Mobile is going all out to nip at their heels.
again this is not towards anyone and I do not like to disrespect people because I wanna be treated the same way. I thought this thread was about jd powers giving virgin mobile a big up. why would someone even bring up page plus in this type of topic. we all know the rates that pageplus offers so there's really no reason to have a breakdown. as soon as someone posts something good about virgin mobile there is someone with something bad to say. I know that no 1 will miss me but I'm pretty much done with this forum because there's a bunch of miss information. everywhere I go in pennsylvania my phone works including my data. but if you ask most people around here virgin mobile data barely works. everyone wants to be king of the hill. how many times can someone tell us that they are not happy with virgin mobile or the service around the area they live. so if you guys realize we've read this same stuff over and over and the same people just keep saying it over and over. why even come back to the virgin mobile section if they treated you bad or your phone doesn't work or switched to page plus. I guess it's just me and the way I was raised.if i complained as much as people do around here about such cheap plans my italian mother would smack me and I'm okay with that.
