So I woke up this morning, and noticed I'm not connected to Wind. I only have "Emergency Calls Only". My last text was 2:58 am so somehow it must've disconnected while I was sleeping. It's now 9:22 am and I still cannot connect to Wind. I can see Wind Home but every time I keep trying to select Wind Home, it would say it's unable to connect. Anyone else having this problem in Vancouver?
I'm around Fraser and 16th.
Update: Well, just got off the phone with Wind. The rep I talked to had very good English. She wasn't from Egypt and was most likely Canadian from what I could tell from her accent.
Anyway, I called using a free voip number with a 604 area code and never told her where I was. She must've known the area code I was calling from and knew it was Vancouver, because she quickly put me on hold saying they've been getting a lot of calls from BC.
When say got back on, she said that the whole GVR is down and she said they don't have an ATA. (what does this stand for?...approximate time of ???) Anyway, I pushed her further and inquired what was the reason, whether it was down or a service maintenance. She said Wind's doing a service maintenance.
I then recommended that Wind notify us if they are doing maintenance since they're quick to always remind us to pay even after we've paid. That's the least they could do. Also, does anyone think it's weird to do maintenance on the whole GVR during this time when people may be in need of service?

Reason: more info
And if I set my phone to use only 2g networks it says 'emergency calls only'. I'm not sure why we can't at least use Rogers network when Wind's is down. What am I missing?
Wait... People see Wind Home but can't connect? I didn't see that or 'Wind Away', only 'Rogers'. A later check revealed a Wind Away, but I couldn't connect.
I've noticed the network down early in the morning before, but it's been at least two hours now. Somebody screwed up an upgrade, methinks. They surely couldn't have planned this.
I had a text come in around 1:22pm today, so service came back online around then. I called my bro who's also on Wind and asked him if he had no service. He was in Richmond all day and had no down time so it must be just a certain portion of the GVR that didnt get service. Sucks that I always seem to be in areas affected...Hopefully this wont happen again consistently like it did the last time.

I did not experience any outage in East Van (near Commercial Drive when I was here 8 - 9:30 AM, nor when I was downtown at work near Burrard Station from 10 AM - 4 PM.
