Crazy question. I stopped by a Verizon Premium Retailer and found someone I knew from a previous job working in there. He said they were looking for a couple people to work in the store and I should consider applying for it. I think they had at least one part-time and one full-time opening.
Here's the deal, I went in there because I was considering something kind of basic for a business I wanted to start but really haven't got going yet and didn't really want a contract. He was trying to push me to something 4g which I really don't need. I've used a couple, but for this use, anything more than a basic phone is kind of a toy with an unnecessary added expense.
I thought maybe someone here would know how this works. Since the beginning of time, I've always seen store reps running around carrying the latest devices. In the remote unlikely event I would get past the interview, what would be the requirement for a phone? I'm assuming they would make me drop my old Alltel plan and get something on a Verizon plan. Would I have to pay full price for a phone then or could I get something on a contract price? Would the plan have to be in my name and I'm responsible for it if I leave?
I kind of wanted to know before I picked up a basic phone then found out I needed another contract for an iPhone or something. I don't have $600 to drop on a phone.
Thanks, I never realised a premium retailer wasn't Verizon. I guess that's a good reason not to buy a phone there, I already got chewed out once for buying a phone from someone other than Verizon. I was just thinking, I think the guy was just trying to push me to buying a phone I didn't really need, so If I do get called for an interview, I think I'll just tell them my schedule is full and I don't have time.
I don't know how it's possible to make enough money to pay for the gas to get to work, I've never seen anyone else in this store and I was in there several times. Also, there's always been someone different working in there.
