I'll have to give it a shot. I tried both Groove IP and Talkatone over wifi yesterday and it was horrible. The automated system I was testing (BING 411) had no idea what I was saying.
I just made a few test calls over 3G and Wi-Fi. Calls sounded great on my end. The only complaint on the other end was a little echo. Overall, it's a very solid app. Will do more testing.

You should try again with a human. I've found automated systems to have all kinds of problems with VOIP, some won't even connect.

Seriously, did try this app.. was OK, BING-411 worked ok except for a slight buzz in the background. However, I uninstalled the app because despite exiting the app it would restart every 15 minutes on its own.. something others in the Market reported.
