Electrify and HDMI

I got an HDMI cable today and hooked my Electify up to the TV.
One of the options was to mirror the screen. Well, it worked. Sort if. It took the screen I was on and displayed it. That was it. No change, nothing. Suggestions? I KNOW my local US Cell doesn't have an HDTV for me to demo so short of dragging my HD TV in what can I do/check?

Do you have the HDMI notification in the notification bar when you are connected. Sometimes I have issues with it and needed to unplug and replug. Do a little dance that involves turning off and on the phone and or TV. I haven't pinpointed the solution exactly.

I mostly use the HDMI cable to use the TVs speakers in hotel rooms to listen to music. Note that when the screen blanks the HDMI connection is dropped until you wake the screen. The solution is to put your phone in kickstand mode, the only useful thing that the metal bar at the back of the phone is for.

Yes, I have the HDMI notification. I have plugged/unplugged/rebooted/powered TV/phone and probably a whole bunch of other combos. Still only get a snapshot of the screen that happens to be active when I plug it in.

Does audio work? Sounds like a warranty issue.

Having trouble understanding,are you saying it just displays and doesn't respond to any apps you want to run?
What exactly are you trying to do?

Mine does the same thing now after the latest update. It use to work on the previous build. Output to the tv would update "live" just like on the screen.

Same here as well. I can rotate the phone and it will change from portrait to landscape, but it is a static image that rotates 90 degrees counterclockwise. No audio when playing YouTube.

Right now all I get is basically a snap shot of the screen that is on the phone when I connect to the TV. WHat I would like is the TV to mirror the phone.

Guess they broke it. Think it is worth a trip to the store?
