I am with Sprint with an Android smartphone device with Google Voice installed. At my home I have a Sprint Airave which I pay $20 a month (it allows unlimited calls) because I don't get very good reception at my home. I think it is silly to be paying them for a device that essentially uses MY internet because THEIR service sucks in my area hence the reason for this reason.
Since I have a smartphone with Android and my home network has wireless capabilities can't I just get rid of the Airwave and use some type of Android app or tweak to be able to use my home network internet wireless signal to essentially make calls out using google voice or something? That way I still get good clarity calls without having to rely on Sprint's towers?
I suppose one could ask this same question when using a prepaid cell phone that is an Android smartphone.
