Exclamation NEXUS S Navigation is useless after ICS update!

Along with other ICS update problems I noticed since the update my nexus S navigation is almost useless.

It usually can't find the satellite (and yes, I'm testing it outdoor or usually in the car) and usually after restarting a phone it can find the GPS signal but loses randomly.

Has any one with ICS update also noticed this bug or could it be the phone related?

I used the navigation again yesterday..locked in less than 5 seconds, and worked very accurately for the next half an hour or so while I was driving.
But I've heard that a small group of people reported GPS problem after ICS upgrade.

My GPS usually locks in the 5-6 seconds time frame and no issues with navigation. Have you tried to factory reset it then apply the ICS update again? The radio software for the device might have got something messed up with it during the upgrade process.

I've had problems (Galaxy Nexus) if I start the GPS while underground (parking garage). It seems like it's throwing out all the data when it can't find anything, and doing a pure-GPS lock (with the assistance of AGPS). Then it takes a while (I've seen up to 5 minutes) to lock on when I surface.
If I wait until I surface before enabling it, it gets a lock right away.

It's also helpful to consider the design of your vehicle and where you place your phone when using GPS.
Does your phone have a straight shot to at least one third of the sky? If not, you will run into trouble when you drive through areas with tall trees, buildings, etc.

The Nexus S, like most other Samsung phones has a very small GPS antenna. Don't expect perfection without a clear view of the sky.
