This is less to do with WIND or even the phones themselves and more to do with why someone decided to produce two misleading posts to support a supposition that had nothing to do those same posts. The title of this thread clearly alludes to the poster losing money with WIND which is then blamed on ownership and use of a phone that has nothing to do with the posted topics.

An explanation would be nice.
It's xtachx, and it doesn't support his 'argument' so you won't get any explanation. For all the time he spends complaining about Wind people 'trolling' in the Mobi forum you would think that he would take the higher ground and not do it here.

Except this is more analogous to Canadian Tire selling you a car and oil, knowing the oil would destroy your engine.
Yes, the manufacturer screwed up. But WIND can't not know about it by now. And they continue to sell the devices.
I've been pushing back on Google for a while to force Samsung's hand with the Galaxy Nexus, but it doesn't seem like that's happened yet. That's why I'm running Google's build (at least until a "reasonably" stable CM9 build appears).
Its not their responsibility. They can sell you a shoe if they like. Won't work very well on their frequencies, but if that's what you want to buy, its your right to buy it and their right to sell it.
If WIND sells a device with an option to "disable roaming data", and you use that option, then you are not at fault. Now, I'm sure some people who know about the bug will try to abuse it and get a credit, but for the general population, it's different. If I check that option, I reasonably assume that if I'm roaming, I will not have data. Therefore, if I have data, I'm not roaming.

And if they tell you it will work, or a reasonable person would infer that it will work, then it is their responsibility.

Only if the PERSON DOING the telling, ABOUT THAT FEATURE, knows that it is defective, then IF they choose to talk about *that feature*, they would be obligated to tell the truth about it.
The kid who works in the store can't say with any authority that X feature of this phone does or does not work. The customer didn't ask, and the kid didn't say, hence no misrepresentation and therefore no responsibility (legally). In fact, the kid probably isn't smart enough to even know that such a feature even EXISTS.
INFERENCE falls on the HARDWARE MANUFACTURER, not the retailer.
LOL. As people have suggested, Wind should cap overages and tell customer about it.
One cannot go over X dollars on their post paid....
Any business customer can request the limit be lifted......

Wind at your service! I dont work for Wind either!
When reading the title in the forum list view, one would assume that the OP had received a huge bill from WIND, not thinking that it was a hypothetical scenario. So this is called Trolling.
I have a suggestion - stop posting in this thread and let it die. However, I highly encourage posts in the 'Mobilicity sucks, warning to all potential customers' thread in the Mobi forum to keep it on the top!
