There is a claim that just hit in the Androidforums thread that this, the RAZR Mini and ONE other device will hit in October. Maybe they have kept leaks stopped on the third one and it's the Phablet??

Are they trying to lose sales? Is this a premerger phone that does not fit into their new business plans?
So far, I see no reason to buy this phone.

FAUguy what is the source of that information, if you can reveal it. Not too long after the Note II announcement.

All I know is that there is a PR Event on that day in NY. No info about what device will be shown.

. . . if any. Yeah. Probably to announce the bootloader unlocking tool and unveil vzw's response to the FCC consent decree.

    Lol.

Well this is a pre-CTIA thing so there is probably something more than BL announcement. The "On Display" verbiage in the invite also suggests a few devices and/or maybe their "displays" being the focus/reason of the event.

    Tongue-in-cheek.
I'll be quite surprised if there's no HD around.

Funny this is also the day Nokia has their big announcement on their new Win. phones. Most likely make it or break it for Nokia if they don't sell well.

To compete, Nokia needs larger displays with much higher resolutions, SD support, and -- since forever -- more, a lot more, RAM.

Oh, yeah, and x86 SoCs, too. Speaking of which, an LTE x86 W8 tablet could be interesting.

If I am not mistaken WP7 is what restricted a lot of this. WP8 SHOULD allow more of this. Curious to see if any of these have a claimed PureView camera. I will not be wildly surprised if one of these is more exciting than the RAZR HD. Doubtful any will be available soon on VZW though. Guess you never know though.

It may be too late for Nokia Win 8 phones, but we will have to wait a while to find out.

Yes, the MS dictated WP7 hardware specs are now very outdated. Haven't noticed what WP8 will bring, but has to be large improvement.
