Just thought I'd point out to fellow GVA WIND users that WIND now has coverage at Deep Cove. On WIND's coverage map, Deep Cove is still under "Planned Expansion" but when I was there today at one of the stores on Gallant Avenue, I had full bars on my Panache indoors.
I remember about a year ago when I was testing both Mobilicity and WIND that neither of them had signal even OUTDOORS around the area, so this was a pleasant surprise to say the least. Anyone living in or travel there for work/leisure and were considering WIND can have a little more confidence in them now regarding that area.
Hope that helps fellow HoFo members and lurkers of the forum~
With Wind, sometimes the service goes UP before the area even appears on the map as "planned". For instance, Barrie, ON was functional MONTHS before it was on the map. Now they're dragging their feet actually announcing it. Rumors suggested that it would be announced Feb 1, but that's come and gone.
Good to hear, I hope that it is a sign of more coverage expansion on the North Shore!
No kidding! The Blueridge area is completely ignored (guess it's because it's smack in the middle between 2 towers...)! I have friends around there who wouldn't mind giving WIND a shot, but the signal once indoors is pretty atrocious...I've reported it to WIND on the site's Network Builder numerous times, so hopefully they can do something about it.

Ya, hope Coquitlam gets some love too! Maybe around Westwood Plateau and Balcarra too~
They are long overdue in extending reliable service to the North Delta, Ladner and White Rock areas. Poor coverage along Highway 91 from the Alex Fraser right through to Hwy 10 and Hwy 99 which are all major commuter routes and should be high priority.
Like others I have submitted multiple reports on Network Builder but, to date, no sign of improved service.
It is kind of hard to promote Wind to friends and family when I cannot demo, with any degree of confidence, the features offered.
^ you're right about Delta and White Rock not getting much attention. Could be speculation on my part, but from what I've heard, I believe the new entrants don't find White Rock to be a very high priority because of the rich population there (and by rich, I mean money wise). The new entrants don't scream premium product to the folks there, and it's far from the main city core, so there's no rush whatsoever for White Rock.
Delta, on the other hand, might just be due to people not allowing new entrants putting up towers in the area. Don't see why new entrants wouldn't want to establish themselves there.
Also, not sure if this is a commonality with all companies, but I believe they prioritize where resources go depending on their customers' home address given on the account. This makes work locations more of an afterthought because that information is not given, hence, carriers don't know where they should be expanding if you work at an industrial area or business park. Since it's more unpredictable, the new entrants won't go ahead and expand to an area where they aren't sure if that area can yield them revenue. Unfortunately, Delta has a lot of industrialized parts, which might also be why they aren't an area of high priority.

This is one reason why I'm glad that Loxcel no longer is showing the microwave sites for Wind. There was a Wind microwave tower showing up as being roughly in the middle of the dead zone IIRC - somewhere in the vicinity of 88th-96th st and Highway 99. Unless, of course, that's a real tower in the planning phase. Would help the Highway 99 folks - maybe help those on the 91 a bit as well.
Still neither Wind nor Mobi seems to cover the south of the Fraser very well... although Wind has coverage in the areas I'm in fairly regularly there though Mobi doesn't
White Rock should have decent service. I was in the South Surrey/White Rock area and I have no problems using my phone along 16 Ave.
A number of those Coveragemapper routes are ones I have uploaded over the past few months. I still cannot get much in the way of signal in the 140th st and 24th ave area ( guess where my relatives live....lol). These are both heavily travelled streets in the area and with virtually no coverage, it is sure hard to promote Wind as an alternative to the Big Boys.
