Highly unlikely. The reason why Rogers keeps all the good devices on its premium brand is to get people to switch over and increase their ARPU. Only reason why fido got the Galaxy Nexus was because it carried the Nexus S so carrying the sucessor only made sense.
Likewise with the IPHONE. I doubt the Note will come on Fido - BUT - as with most Samsung devices, there is a possibility that it will work on Fido. Many of the Samsung devices in recent memory - Captivate, Focus, and, for some people, that slider one...I forget it's name now - have worked on both brands.
I'm not telling you anything that you can't just google for yourself
The Samsung galaxy note on Rogers works just fine with a fido sim out of the box ... It picked up all the apn info as well.
Really cool but i still think its a piece of **** ...
As much as you tell yourself that the form factor isn't going to be a problem, it absolutely is ... So damn hard to hold with one hand and type ... Most people are used to this who use a smartphone ... The other issue with it is that it still runs an outdated version of android wtf! The damn stylus isn't accurate either ... There's a noticeable offset between the physical placement of the stylus on the screen and where the ink is rendered (piece of **** accuracy algorithms and such).
I love the size. Surely not for little hands (for onr handed). The s-pen accuracy needs to be updated by Samsung.
I CANT STRESS THIS ENOUGH: do not leave an app open and untouch for more than a minute. When using web browser or ANYTHING that can portrait/landscape please rotate your phone each time you open something. Do NOT use full brightness, use auto and power output regulator thingy (same page as brightness).
HERES WHY: the status bar (black) will not allow "white" to age uniformly. Worse yet is that after a while, the time and other perm icons will burn (or whatever you choose to call it, I could care less). My note was at full bright (i hate dingy screens and im often outside) and by leaving the screen on 10 minutes at a time with the status bar always in the same position it burned there. Now when im on a white web page or app and i go to landscape, i see a white bar with time etc burned darker.
There is banding etc etc. Android should have a transparent status bar with light grey lettering. AMOLED is terrible for this.
Anyway, fantastic phone but please dont ruin your screen like i did :-(
I ordered a new one (international version with better cpu/gpu) and i'll sell this one to somebody less picky than me :-)
Sent from my factory unlocked International Version Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 :-) what a phone....
