100 dollars towards your new phone

Hello everyone, I know that everyone says that Verizon doesn't like to reward preexisting users. Today they proved me wrong.

I have a Droid X I purchased one year and 2 weeks ago. The physical back button is sunken in and will not respond unless I put pressure on it. I knew I was out of my one year warranty so I decided to call VZW to see if they could do anything. Long story short the very nice lady told me about 100 dollars off towards a 4g phone. She said the promotion started on the 7th or so and will be running until June. There may be 2 promotion levels but apparently I qualified for the higher up one. I would recommend calling this if you are interested and stuck on a non 4g phone.

My contract was up January 28th-ish 2013 with a 18 month in September if that helps anyone understand this better.

It's not exactly a promo rather a returning customer deal. I used my $100 last renewal period but this time around I qualify for a $50 one.

Hmmm, I've never heard of this deal. I want to say he used his NE2 but he wasn't even close to his 18 month mark and I've never heard VZW let someone use it 6 months early. Must be something new.

I have 2 upgrades available in June. Is there anyway they can bump me up to get new phones now?

I called continuity marketing (loyalty) and they said no.

Also, loyalty department said they couldn't waive activation fee on new line.

Getting your upgrade dates moved up is generally a luck of the draw, depending on who you are talking to. Generally, I have found that if you are within two months of your normal upgrade date, it is fairly easy to find someone to move it up. Of course there are also those rare instances where they totally surprise you. Like what happened to me. I qualified for my final early upgrade towards the end of November. Used it to upgrade my daughter's phone to the Rezound. Then last month, I logged into My Verizon and it showed that my line (the primary) was eligible for an upgrade again. The weird thing is it showed up as eligible for upgrade only on the Verizon website. Go to Amazon or Best Buy and use the upgrade eligibility checker thing they have and it showed my line wasn't eligible until July 2013 (based on me using the upgrade back in November). Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, I used the upgrade and upgraded my wife's phone to the Rezound. I'll have 3 upgrades coming due at the end of April, hopefully there will be some nice quad core phones out by then.

They already let everyone upgrade 4 months early from the end of the contract date, more then any other network...
