Correct me if I am wrong I am thinking that my Nokia 5800 would work with StraightTalk but the 5800 does not have a fast data radio only goes to 3.6mbps and upload is well under a meg. The 3.2in screen is kinda small for me and I been looking at options.
    On the Symbian side
Nokia 500 ( I consider this the newer version of my 5800 but with no forward facing camera)
    Nokia 701 (3.5 in screen)
Nokia 803 (Supposively due out May should be an update to the N8)

of the Android phones (But Android does not do it for me)
Perhaps Atrix 2 I not sure

    On the Windows side
I had my hands on 3 different HTC Titan's that ended up with a defect (random power cycling) so I reversed my upgrade with AT&T. I loved the screen size on that phone and when I was on Wifi I could watch Netflix on it.
Now I read that the Nokia Luimia 900 Unlocked might become available after AT&T intros it in March perhaps in May too.
I was reading about the Dell venue pro too but that phone I think is really a 1st generation phone but has a nice screen size.

If you only wanted to spend $275 max for a phone which one of the above would you get that would work with StraightTalk? Or any recommendations from what I am seeing in this thread. This is probably a phone I would use for the next 3 years.
I guess the other option is to stay with what I have but that screen just seems small after having Titan in my hands last month.

Your 5800 will work for sure, if your going to get a new phone, i wouldnt really recommend getting a symbian, symbian is basically dead. Nokia lumia 900 will be the best windows phone if thats your thing, but if you liked the screen size the titan 2 maybe your thing or a titan 1 without problems. Now for android android is my OS of choice. If you liked the screen size of titan you might want to check out the skyrocket galaxy s ii, unlocked tmobile galaxy sii (has 3g/hspa+ at&t and tmobile bands) or the htc vivid, all have 4.5" smaller then the 4.7" titan but still big, or maybe even check out the galaxy note, all of these are far above $275 though.

For $275 id recommend the atrix 2 for sure, it has a real nice NO pentille qhd 4.3" screen, and fast cpu 1gb of ram etc. But the atrix 1 is dicent as well and can be found for $200 easily. For alittle more the lg nitro hd, or galaxy sii are good choices as well. Along with the Htc amaze (has tmobile and at&t 3g/hspa+ bands) or the BELL HTC SENSATION all great choices

All Android phones on the list. I'm an Android fanboy too, but if its a good smartphone list, then you do have to include the dark side -- ie iPhones -- and also the 'other side' -- Windows Phones. I'm using a Focus and like many other first time Windows phone users do like a lot of features of that OS. And the Focus is easily jailbreakable and unlockable, though it definitely has an issue with less apps than Apple/Android.

Thank you for the advise on the phones but going over my price I just don't think I can do this with some of the models you mentioned. They plan to introduce the Lumia 900 for $99 with contract and Titan 2 as well but the Titan 2 with a non-replaceable battery has a mark against it in my book (and Titan 1 had a ill fated start with me).
I read about Sony Xperia and there is the neo, the pro, Neo V and I really don't see much diffence in them except screen sizes but I know I am probably wrong on that. I trying to understand what the deal is with the Xperia neo V MT11a-SL is that makes it closer to my price range.
I read about the Atrix 1 with the moto blur and with some you either love it or you hate it and some load Custom Firmwares for that phone but then you have to keep track of that for updates.
I dont know if you want to add another element to your wiki which is really good BTW. Add the SAR rating of each phone. That is another reason I want to change phone because my 5800 is pretty high. When I had the Titan which was very low I had hoped that I would have kept it but due to the power cycling issure each time I had to return it. I wonder if SAR rating has anything to do with how well reception (besides radiating) is on the phone as well because I alway look for people saying they have signal issues when they talk about their phone. I like to get a phone that is under .6 I have to look for some ratings myself.

I just got my Tmobile sim in the mail yesterday. I am only in a HSPA+ 21 area. It seems to get pretty good speeds. Not bad for $45 a month

Not bad? That's an awesome speed. There are people here who pay $45 a month for RoadRunner home internet and don't even see past 7/1, and many people who pay upwards of $100/month for phone service through Verizon, US Cellular, Sprint, etc can't get past 3/1 on 3G.
    Home ISP, RR-Ultimate WiFi, $90/mo | Verizon 4G, $30/mo Unlimited

    School, $5,000/semester | Work

Thanks for the followup. It might be that T-Mobile users are happy with the $30 plan, so this plan for $15 more per month is of little interest to them.

The lastest motoblur isnt so bad, and they dont even call it blur anymore, because it had such a bad rep. But unlocking the bootloader on the atrix 1 is not very hard to do. And then you can install some awesome roms that get rid of all the bloat and moto ui. Makes it so much faster, and a slight overclock can really improve performance as well. Im making a rom for it ATM a tweaked up ICS themed cm7 rom.

That's great news. I haven't been following all threads, but early reports showed no 3g.
If 3g+ is reality, that will be a viable option for those with tmobile handsets.

The Nokia E6 (HERE) isn't listed anywhere. For some, more basic phones are ok outside of Android, but the E5 that SS already sells is too limited. The E6 has better build quality, a front facing camera for video chat, better camera/camcorder, and screen with twice the resolution. That would work great for me, but I'm not sure it would work with this BYO plan (?). Tried calling SS but the hold times were too long.

    E6

It would seem to me your E6 cover more bands than my 5800
    yours has 850/900/1700/1900/2100 UMTS/HSDPA plus GPRS/EDGE capabilities
so I would say you could do StraightTalk on yours as well.
I would let others confirm but since your phone will work with T-Mobile and AT&T it should work. I think yours is unlocked like mine.
