You can bring your own Verizon phone to Pageplus.

What if it's ATT's or Tmobile's GSM world or quad band phone?
Would it work on Verizon towers then?

GSM is non-existent in my area.

Verizon is CDMA, so a GSM phone won't work on it - period. It's not the bands that's the problem, it's the method of modulation. It's like trying to receive video on an old AM radio. There's no place to see a picture on. (It's not a perfect analogy, but the problem is even larger.)

To use Verizon on ST, you have to buy a ST phone that works on Verizon, you can't bring your own device (yet - maybe some time in the future).

Thanks for clarification. Unfortunately it means that BYOD is useless for me.
Lets hope they will change it in the future.

No reason it shouldn't. There are a few downsides (no LTE, less RAM than the US version) and it's a bit spendy. Specs at http://www.androidauthority.com/deal...-steals-97896/

well, I am using windows phone GSM standard on net10 which uses AT&T or t-mobile. My sim is AT&T compatible and it just works fine. Internet speed is not that great though and that could be because of my phone being European version of lumia 800. So bottom line is, WP should work on straight talk byod plans.

Whether a phone works on ST or not has nothing to do with the operating system. If you need the AT&T network, any AT&T phone (or any unlocked GSM phone with AT&T radios) will work - with an AT&T SIM if it's SIM-locked. Same for T-Mobile. It's the SIM-lock and the radios that determine whether the phone will work.

As long as the phone has the bands ( 850, 1900 ) for atts 3g it will work you'll just have to make sure you change the apn settings for data and mms to work. And yes a att gophone will work as well you will get up to hspa+ speeds if using a hspa+ capable device

Yeah its like 4G but not actually 4G it's just 3G with some enhancements. That actually helps the 3G phones as well cause they will see speeds closer to the theoretical speed they are capable of like 3.6 mbps or 7.2 mbps. With a 4G hspa phone on att speeds will be between 3 to 7 mbps on average I have seen them as high as 14 and as low as 1mbps it depends on the area. Most newer phones on att have a theoretical speed of 21mbps but you'll never see that. One thing to note is LTE is not available on in straight talk.
